Sorin Ioan BUMB: we are starting a new parliamentary session! Returning to the work of the Senate means resuming lawmaking.

I will pay particular attention to the field of energy, on which I have also worked intensively during my mandate as an MEP, because Romanians must benefit from energy supplied at fair prices. The internal elections in NLP made the public agenda of the summer, but the topics of interest for Romanians are different: prices, bills, health, education. For these, we urgently need to come up with effective legislative solutions. The parliamentary recess did not mean a break in my work. I had meetings and working visits with representatives of the Ministry of Economy, both in Bucharest and in Alba County, I met with the mayors of Alba and I solved punctual problems. This summer's floods have disrupted the lives of several families in Alba, but together with the mayors and local elected officials in the area, we have been there and looked for solutions for those affected. In figures, the previous parliamentary session meant for me: 18 legislative initiatives, 20 political statements, 151 questions and interpellations addressed to ministers (the vast majority about issues of local interest, but also public policies at national level). I still keep in constant contact with the people of Alba. Their problems, delays in the application of the law, or the various dysfunctions in the relationship with the ministries will also be in this session the subjects of the interpellations they send to the ministers.
