The proposal to amend the PAN (Animal-Nature People) to the 2020 State Budget aimed at allocating funds for the construction of the new building of the Hospital de São Bernardo, in Setúbal, was yesterday sumbada.

In favour of the proposal, the NAP, author of the proposal, be and the CFP voted. The psd benches, CDS, Chega and Liberal Initiative abstained and the PS voted against. "Unfortunately, the increases announced in health seem to have some difficulty in crossing the Tagus and reaching Setúbal," laments PAN Congresswoman Cristina Rodrigues, elected by the district of Setúbal. It is recalled that the construction of the new emergency room had already been approved in Resolution of the Council of Ministers No 77/2019, but was never allocated funds for the realization of the work." Mere approvals on paper are no longer enough, acts are needed. The situation in the emergency rooms of the Hospital de São Bernardo is unsustainable, both from the point of view of users and health professionals", argues Cristina Rodrigues. Yesterday's proposal was based on a visit to the hospital establishment on January 13, in which the deputies of the PAN Parliamentary Group, Cristina Rodrigues and Bebiana Cunha, with a seat in the Health Committee, were aware at the site of the real state of rupture in which the emergency room is located.
