In February of this year, the President of the Republic finally presented his plan against Islamist separatism and announced in particular the abolition of the teachings of language and culture of origin (Elco).  On 30 April, the same Macron signed a decree published in the Official Journal of 2 May, organising the teaching of Arabic in French primary schools as early as the third grade.

This is the validation of an agreement between France and Tunisia, prepared by Najat Vallaud-Belkacem under the previous government. In the midst of the coronavirus crisis, the head of state and the government have therefore secretly passed a decree that will allow Tunisian teachers to teach Arabic to children whose learning to master French is already a challenge. Who will win? In any case, neither integration and even less assimilation, which are the essential conditions for the success of populations of foreign origin in a France threatened in its very existence by separatist communitarianism. The promotion of the Arabic language in the school of the Republic is part of a political project that we reject, while by the very admission of the President of the Republic in his Mulhouse speech, it is imperative to "defend our freedoms by fighting against Islamist separatism". Standing Up France will oppose by all possible means this decree contrary to the principles of assimilation that founded the Republic.Nadejda Silanina, National delegate to the Republican Assimilation
