Free weekend military training for all willing citizens over the age of sixteen.

Such a proposal was presented by the Confederation, which believes that it is extremely important for Poles to learn how to use weapons to a basic extent and to know how to behave in a crisis moment, e.g. a raid. We propose that every Pole who is over 16 years old can benefit from military training. – said MP Krzysztof Tuduj. The training would be available to women and men. They would be run by the army with increased funds for the army. The Confederation wants such training to take place on weekends, because the aim is to encourage an ordinary Kowalski who is not able to devote a month of his professional and family life. The citizen would have the opportunity to apply for such a training, which would last about three weekends, so as to gain basic practical knowledge. The training would consist in learning how to use weapons at a basic level, behavior in field situations (e.g. military medicine, dressing a gunshot wound) and crisis situations (e.g. city raid). Politicians believe that the goal is to reach a mass audience and train a significant percentage of the population. Therefore, training should be widely promoted through social campaigns not only in the network and traditional media, but also in schools and universities." We appeal to the government to consider our idea of universal training of Poles in terms of shooting and military capabilities. This proposal meets the current situation in Ukraine."
