In the context of his television presence on the show "Studio with a view" of ANT1 TV with the journalist Faye Mavragani, the Secretary of the Central Political Committee of PASOK-Movement for Change, Andreas Spyropoulos, commenting on the public debate on the fence in Evros, recalled that it was the PASOK government that proceeded with its construction.

PASOK started the fence in 2010 and then we experienced disdain from the other political forces. SYRIZA said that the fence is the "wall of shame" and New Democracy, being in the constellation of Zappeion, said that the fence is a disorientation from the measures of the first memorandum. Along the way, of course, he adhered to this policy. Clearly the fence is necessary. Clearly it helped. Of course it needs to be expanded. Was it built with European money? No. So I don't understand why Mr. Mitsotakis says "we will go it alone". We have made it ourselves so far. So these are the exaggerations", he noted characteristically. The crux of the problem is the revision of the Dublin Regulation. In other words, the burden should not fall on the first host countries such as Greece, Spain and Italy, but should also be shared by the other European countries. Where does the review stick? The veto was vetoed by the Austrians and the rest of the conservative like-minded people of Mr. Mitsotakis. That is what is at issue. It is a European debate and the European right has a huge responsibility, which does not show solidarity", said Mr. Spyropoulos, criticizing the government.Regarding the post-election landscape, the Secretary of the PASOK-Movement for Change K.P.E. underlined that "the Greek people need an option of change in order to solve basic problems of their daily lives. In the face of the power models of the self-reliant New Democracy and the partnership without any programmatic background of SYRIZA-ANEL, Mr. Spyropoulos highlighted the governments of cooperation. The question at the moment that the Greek people will answer is whether we will continue with one-party governments, which give the arrogance to every Mr. Mitsotakis to commit the wiretapping scandal, to give 68 companies the money of the Recovery Fund and to manage public money and the state in such a way or whether we should go to cooperative governments, where there will be control and understanding on the problems of the Greek people", he concluded.
