Parliamentary intervention with a question on the serious delay of the "EXOIKONOMO - AFTONOMO" program, was made by the Secretary of the Parliamentary Group of PASOK – Movement for Change and Member of Parliament for Larissa Evangelia Liakouli. In particular, in the Question submitted to the Parliament, the Larissa MP points out that "in recent years, the issue of the climate crisis, which is intensifying to such an extent, dominates the public debate.

so that by many experts it is now characterized as "climate collapse". Unfortunately, and despite the important remarks of scientists that energy saving is a serious factor in mitigating the climate crisis on multiple levels, the Government seems to be indifferent to its stance – and emphatically – at a time when the European policy on energy saving raises energy saving as a central issue and announces a spectacular increase in funds for the coming years." –AUTONOMO" of the year 2020, presents unprecedented and unacceptable delays in its implementation and its management seems to have been left by the Government "on autopilot", while there is no mobilization of any mechanism of the competent Ministries to deal with bureaucratic problems, overruns in controls and long delays in disbursements, which have already been repeatedly made known by the interested parties." The "EXOIKONOMO – AFTONOMO" program is of great importance for our country, it has a significant budget that reaches about 1 million euros. It is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and national resources. The delays in authorisations, controls and disbursements are unprecedented. To the questions of the interested parties, the competent Ministries answer that thousands of applications have been submitted and are still being checked, while at the same time they state that the pending issues will be completed within the next period of time", emphasizes E. Liakouli. The same applies to the prefecture of Larissa, with the interested parties and already participants with applications, anxious, as they do not have the slightest information on the issue. The Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece and Member of Parliament for Larissa, asks the Government of Mr. Mitsotakis for answers on all critical parameters, such as: – the reasons for the unprecedented delays that appear in the implementation of the program, – the number of applications submitted and the budget, – the approved applications and the amounts disbursed, – the pending applications and the time of completion of their control, – the rest of the program available.
