The regular press conference this Monday was held by Darko Klasić, president and Kristijan Jelić and AlenLochert vice presidents of go HSLS of the City of Zagreb and city deputies.

How can someone "burn" a quarter of the Museum's budget without the Governing Council noticing? In accordance with the Institutions Act, Articles 35 and 36, the Governing Council manages the Museum of Arts and Crafts and decides on the financial plan and annual calculation. But mayor Tomasevic doesn't think so, he's above the law. To my question, at the last session of the City Assembly, when it will replace the board of directors of the Museum of Arts and Crafts that he personallynamed on December 9, 2021, I said that at first glance it was obvious that the transactions, amounting to several hundred thousand € (!), were a criminal offense and that who knows if the financial statements were bilatological, but that he did not see how the governing council would be responsible for it. Does this mean that his governing councils accept what is served to them and do not question anything? Does this mean that they can be framed for anything when what the mayor himself claims is obvious to be a crime under their radar? Does this city government realize what a scandal this is?Then what is the governing council for? Do the mayor and members of the governing council think that the abbreviation UVmeans decorative council? They seem to think so. How else to understand that, apart from the fact that someone "burned" a quarter of their annual budget in front of their noses, not even 24 days after the director acted responsibly and exactly as he should have reported the crime, they did not find it appropriate to hold a session of the Council? The director immediately understood what had happened and what needed to be done, but the governing council did not realize it even 24 days later. If the Mayor does not want to dismiss them, the HSLS expects them to resign for moral reasons, said city representative Alen Lochert. The traffic collapse is suffocating the citizens of Zagreb on record, and Tomislav Tomašević is late with quite busy projects in the City of ZagrebTraffic jams have become so common in Zagreb, that every few days there is talk of a traffic collapse. On navigation apps, most major roads turn red every day. Unfortunately, public transport and transport infrastructure have been neglected in Zagreb for years, so the current city government and Mayor Tomašević cannot be blamed for the problem that has been created for decades, but it should be acknowledged that the new city government (to put it mildly) did not do well in conducting zagreb's transport policy. It is clear to everyone who was to blame for the bad transport infrastructure in the previous 6 mandates, but we wonder who is to blame now thatabsolutely all traffic projects in the City of Zagreb are either very late or not even started. For example, due to the delay of works on the reconstruction of the Adriatic Bridge (the deadline was May 2023), Zagreb did not have time to realize funds from the EU Solidarity Fund, i.e. only about 1/3 of the funds were realized. One of the reasons was that they were not able to contract for more than 6 months to create a study of new traffic regulations. To make the absurdity even greater, the two tenders failed because the City was unable to estimate the realistic cost. The deadlines have been so thickly extended, and tram traffic will in the best option go over the bridge only at the beginning of 2025. In addition to the huge crowds that have been unnecessarily extended on the Adriatic Bridge, the City will lose a minimum of 2.5 million euros (!) due to delays. In the existing GUP there are traffic solutions and routes have been drawn that would greatly facilitate traffic in the city of Zagreb, such as the construction of the Jarun Bridge in the west and the extension of Branimirova Street in the east of the city. Unfortunately, the mayor gave up on the Jarun Bridge project, despite pre-election promises. Citizens have listened for 20 years to the promises of the former mayor to build the Jarun Bridge, and the current government has only continued with the continuity of false promises. This act destroyed the long-standing dream of the inhabitants of the western part of Zagreb to connect Ilica via Vrapčanska Street, Oranice Street, Zagrebačkacesta street and Petrovaradinska Street over the Jarun Bridge with Jadranska Avenue. At the end of the first (of three) stages of the extension of Branimirova to Brestovačka Street, which the inhabitants of the eastern part of the city have been waiting for more than 13 years, should have been completed by 01.12.2023., and we are already in March 2024 and the end of the works is not yet in sight. I could endlessly list projects that stand in drawers or are very late, and the problems of not maintaining existing roads.... How long will the citizens of the City of Zagreb tolerate such a terminally incompetent government?! – asked Kristijan Jelić, hsls city councilor. The lack of time "timing" of execution and planning of works with the absence of traffic strategy is the real cause of the daily traffic collapse of ZagrebDarko Klasić pointed out that today we are just
