The European Commission confirmed today the failure of the Greek Government to effectively protect the interests of the Greek national minority in Albania.Fundamental issues, such as the rule of law and the protection of minorities, which are directly related to Albania's accession course, due to the Government's handling are now characterized as "bilateral".

It is now clear that for Mr. Mitsotakis, party interests are above national interests, with the direct consequence of isolating Greek positions in Europe.
