The corona temporary unemployment scheme will end on 30 September.

The end of this support measure will come as a shock to many workers. Already victims of the crisis, they will also lose the 70% allowance and the daily supplement they have received until now. In the worst case, they also risk losing their jobs if their employer fires them. On Friday 17 September, the National Labour Council (CNT) recommended extending the measure until the end of the year and equating periods of temporary unemployment due to corona with force majeure for the calculation of holiday money. The PTB supports this opinion.
