Representatives of zagreb HSLS Saša Poljanec Borić, Vice-President of HSLS and zagreb organization, and Sandro Salopek, member of the HSLS City Council, attended the 18 September 2020 Museum of Arts and Crafts opening of the festival on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birth of the Government of Gotovac, entitled "Signs for the Government of Gotovac".

Recalling the immense legacy of this great Croatian poet, essayist, philosopher, speaker and liberal politician on the occasion of the anniversary of his birth, we highlight one of his famous quotes, which reminds us all that his words are still current, and the liberal idea is much-needed therapy for Croatian society:"What disappointed me in politics is the meeting with many people who only wanted to deal with human-practical issues in politics. They believed that through it, in some strange and completely uncontrollable spontaneity, there could be changes. It's a big misconception, people like that degrade politics and take away its true meaning." In addition to the inspiration of Gotovac's works, Zagreb's HSLS are also joyful because this event shows that citizens continue to gather around the ideas of this Croatian great. However, aware that the preservation and restoration of liberal traditions cannot be left to chance, the HSLS continue Gotovčev and their political work aimed at enriching the fund of social values that are a precondition for the successful reproduction of civil liberties and individualism.
