The deputy and spokesperson for Compromís in the Commission for Agriculture, Livestock and fisheries of the Corts Valencianes, Josep Nadal, has presented a proposal for Les Corts to urge the Council to amend the decree 201/2017, of 15 December, of the Consell, which regulates the direct sale of primary agro-alimentary products.

According to Nadal, "after almost two years of & #8217; entry into force of the decree and, therefore, of the & #8217; experience of its application, we consider that it is time to modify the aspects that can give more professionalism to the sector and to promote the sale of proximity products." Thus, "from Compromís we propose some modifications such as the creation of an identifying logo for the sale of proximity to the Valencian country; That it is allowed to sell at any point owned by the producing person, whether in the exploitation, in his house or in a rented warehouse; The sale of proximity products over the Internet is allowed and also regulated; Unloyal Competition and study the possibility of selling raw milk ". "Currently, the direct sale, from producers to consumers, is not limited only to physical spaces of commerce, but the Internet is another tool for our people in the field, therefore we must also include direct distance sales, in order to solve also the difficulties of certain consumers of & #8217; Access directly and periodically to the proximity product." "And as regards the & #8217; field of & #8217; application, it is necessary to exclude from the limitation of the supply and commercialization of primary production people, milk, since nowadays, with adequate hygienic conditions, it is possible to authorise the sale of small amounts of raw milk to be a demand of & #8217; a part of consumers. This would be possible with the & #8217; elaboration & #8217; a guide & #8217; adequate hygiene and with a series of recommendations provided in writing to the consumers. Selling raw milk is a reality in other territories of our environment that already have regulations about it. "In Compromís we have it clear: to combat climate change and to have a fair price for the producers, it is necessary to consume and facilitate the consumption of Valencian products of proximity", concluded the deputy Josep Nadal.
