Statement by Evangelia Liakoulis, Secretary of PASOK-Movement for Change and responsible for the Communist Party of the Interior on the revelations about the staged break-in of the office of the Director of ElectionsThe scandal of the leak of the personal data of expatriates by the Ministry of Interior has now taken on uncontrollable dimensions.

The revelation that according to the Hellenic Police, the break-in at the office of the Director of Elections of the Ministry of Interior was staged and comes "from within", fully confirms that the Ministry of Interior is an "unfenced vineyard" and the elements of Greek citizens prey to the political aspirations of the Government. The reports that referred to the leakage of the data of the expatriates during the ministry of Mrs. Kerameus are also confirmed, with the Ministry of Interior trying, through its report, to put the blame on the employees of the Ministry.The cover-up of the responsibilities of the political leadership attempted by the Ministry of Interior, falls on deaf ears.We ask Mrs. Kerameus to finally assume political responsibility and inform the Greek people: ·         When did the data of our expatriates finally leak?·         Who is behind the "staged break-in" and how are these allegations linked to the "email gate" scandal?         How is it possible that all this is happening in the Ministry of the Interior, which has decisive importance and absolute responsibility for safeguarding the electoral process?
