Following a change in the Dáil schedule TD’s are set to vote on a People Before Profit amendment to a Sinn Féin motion on Palestine later today.

The amendment seeks to implement immediate action on the issue, by expelling the Israeli ambassador to Ireland and to impose sanctions on the State of Israel. All TDs should be asked to vote to support the amendment to make the strongest statement of solidarity with the Palestinians today. Please message, tweet and email your local representatives and ask them to vote with the People Before Profit amendment with the HASHTAG #ExpeltheIsraeliAmbassador Full details of the motion and the amendment to the motion is available to download below. It includes; — publicly declare that the State of Israel is guilty of war crimes.— that these latest atrocities are part of an ongoing and systematic campaign by the Israeli State to ethnically cleanse the Palestinian people from their land.— Israel, in its basic laws and practices, is an apartheid state — therefore to:— expel the Israeli Ambassador and all Israel diplomatic staff from Ireland;— apply a comprehensive package of economic, political and cultural sanctions against the State of Israel, similar to that applied to apartheid South Africa;and— maintain sanctions and promote them within the EU and internationally until the entire Israeli apartheid system is dismantled and all the Palestinian people enjoy national self-determination and full and equal rights, including the right to return of all Palestinian refugees expelled since 1948 and alltheir descendants, as required by international law (UN Resolution 194) Full-Motion-on-PalestineDownload The post Dail Set To Vote On Expulsion Of Israeli Ambassador Today appeared first on People Before Profit.
