We hope and we are sure that the discussions in your congress will strengthen the party andits position within the politics and the working class in Cyprus.Your congress comes at a very important time for us communists. How can we deal with the climate emergencythat we have upon us?How can we improve the living conditions of the working class and the popular strata, after the crisis of thepandemic, especially since we will probably face new cuts in the welfare state, with the European neoliberalagenda.How can we fight imperialism and its wars across the Middle East and the world?These are questions that we all should do, and we will wish to read the conclusions of your congress, in order toimprove our strategy adapted to our own conditions.This congress also could be an important milestone for the reunification of Cyprus, the end of Turkishoccupation and the reconciliations of Greek and Turkish Cypriots.
